Bone Marrow Biopsy Redux

For those who've enjoyed hearing my pain and agony after writing about my bone marrow biopsy at my 6-month evaluation last month, I've got good news. Beth has posted pictures of her bone marrow biopsy. (Beth, I hope you don't mind the photo post!) Unfortunately, you machochists will be disappointed; Beth comments that her experience was not nearly as trumatic as mine.
One of the interesting things is how differently our procedures were performed. As you can see through her pictures, Beth is laying on her tummy while the sample is performed. I was curled up in the fetal position while laying on my side. I had wanted to take pictures of my procedure, but I am not that much of an exhibitionist, thank you.
UPDATE: Thanks to Beth for letting me I know in my caffeine-deprived stupor last night, I had written "laying on her back", when it was, uh, actually "on her stomach". She's also written a little more about her previous biopsy, which you might find interesting, as she did have performed in the fetal position. Thank you for sharing, Beth.

Actually, Beth is laying on her tummy. Laying on her back would be tricky indeed :)
Since you didn't take photos of the fetal position technique in Boston and I wasn't blogging yet back when I had my evaluation done there in August, I'll have to look up and post those photos (which do of course exist, exhibitionist that I am :)) for a comparison.
Bottom line though...there was little to no difference in the pain factor for the two positions.
I am such a dork! Thanks for correcting me. :)
