More Vitamin E, Please
Like last time around, I have begun to start my Vitamin E regimen on my catheter wounds. It's hard to tell what additional "badges of honor" I will get from my latest implant, but my hopes are that the Vitamin E will smooth them out over time. Although they put the catheter in on the same side, the entry holes were not exactly in the same place. This means that I have what looks like the constellation of Orion on my chest.
I've heard through the Google grapevine that there was a recent episode of House earlier this week in which of the patients was diagnosed with AA (familar) amyloidosis. Since I don't really watch network TV, I can't comment on it further, but I guess that it can't be too bad to have a major TV show give publicity to this disease -- even if their portrayal of the disease could have been a little inaccurate.
Before I end this post, I would like thank everyone for your phone calls, get-well cards, blog comments, fruit baskets, etc. wishing me well as I go through Round 2. Although I haven't been able to respond to every note and card, I do read them all, and it is comforting and heart-warming to know that I have friends all over the world rooting for me.
